Locum Cover
This plan aims to give you a regular benefit to cover the cost of ongoing expenses or that of employing a locum if you suffer an illness which prevents you from working. This cover is based on your liability for expenses rather than on your earnings.
Payment of benefit is normally deferred for a short period of time which allows the monthly premium to be kept as low as possible, obviously with the longer deferred period producing the lowest premium.
The claim period is normally limited to 12 months less the initial deferred period at which time your partners would normally look to review your circumstances.
